Presidential domestics.

I just came across this article and thought it was a really interesting read. I love hearing about the day-to-day, domestic details of presidents. Obama is on the cusp of his inauguration, and I had not given thought to the fact that he has to cover his own moving expenses! I can just imagine the White House staff going crazy in the 6 hours or so (on Inauguration Day) of moving Obama in, and Bush out. Making sure every detail is just so, from curtains to bed linens to floral arrangements. I wonder how this was handled a century ago?
